Another great morning with Julia. We´ll spend a whole day with her tomorrow.
Started with 4 cocks-on-the rock - don´t ask me to explain the name. Excuse the poor image - you try shooting through jungle at 6 am. Then to a canopy place where these violet-tailed sylphs were buzzing about.... ... joined by several mountain tanagers, including, in order, black-chin, yellow-nape, blue-wing and flame-faced - the latter our new favorite.
On our return D. forced our hostess´ 89 yo mother to do some salsa dancing - at 10 am. Drove her to tears. We then moved to a new place, with a great backyard full of humming birds and some of these rufous mot mots.
A backyard of hummingbirds sounds enchanting!
ReplyDeleteI really hope that lady didn't actually cry . . .
